The Boardroom | 16 |
Capacities are indicative maximums and vary with staging, dance floors and AV. The Boardroom is a fixed installation and seats one way only. Exact figures for your layout are confirmed on proposal.
§ THE BOARDROOM
One fitted boardroom in Nakasero: a fixed table for sixteen, an interactive display on the wall, power and data in the tabletop, and a door that closes. Nothing is wheeled in, nothing is shared, and the room looks the same at nine in the morning as it does at six in the evening.
§ THE TECHNOLOGY
The display, the connections and the power are part of the room rather than a trolley someone fetches. Specifications below are indicative for planning — the exact configuration is confirmed on your proposal.
Panel size, casting protocols, bandwidth and the camera arrangement are indicative and are confirmed on your proposal. Secure parking, lunch in either restaurant and rooms upstairs come with the day. Anything the room does not already hold — a second screen, a scribe, a translator, a locked document safe — is arranged on request.
§ A BOARD DAY
An illustrative shape for a full-day board session, not a fixed schedule. The point is what you never have to do: no room reset, no caterer brief, no drive to lunch.
08:00
The room is already set
Table laid, pads and water at every place, panel on and tested, climate brought to temperature before the first car arrives.
08:45
Arrival coffee
Served in the room or on the veranda, whichever suits. Secure parking means nobody arrives late and flustered.
09:00
Session opens
Door closed. Remote directors admitted from the waiting room by the chair, not by whoever is nearest the laptop.
11:00
Break, without losing the room
Refreshments come to you and papers stay on the table — the room is yours for the day, so nothing is cleared away.
13:00
Lunch in a restaurant
A short walk to one of three kitchens on site. No cars, no cold buffet holding in a corridor, and the room untouched when you return.
14:00
Afternoon session
Curtains to taste, display back to where you left it, same seats. The afternoon starts where the morning stopped.
17:00
Close — or carry on
Papers collected discreetly. A private dinner in a restaurant, drinks in a lounge, or a room upstairs for anyone flying out tomorrow.
An illustrative day, not a fixed timetable — tell the events team the shape you need and they will build the run of day around it.
§ THE ROOM
The room as delivered and photographed — no staging, no borrowed furniture, no renders. What you see is what you book.
The head of the table · interactive display
From the window end · sixteen seats
Every place · pad, water, power
Daylight · curtains to taste
The art wall · Ugandan canvases
The credenza end · service without interruption
Down the table · visible from every chair
Squared on the display · no bad seat
Still water, laid before you arrive
§ HOW IT WORKS
One planner owns your event end to end — you are not handed between departments once the contract is signed.
Dates, rough numbers, the shape of the day and any spaces you already have in mind. Two minutes on the form, or a message to the events desk.
A named planner picks it up
Availability, the rooms that fit, a set-up plan and an indicative cost — day-delegate, residential or bespoke — usually back the same working day.
One document, one number to react to
A site visit with your planner and, if you want them, the chef and the AV lead. We hold the date provisionally while you decide.
A provisional hold on your date
Sign, pay the deposit, and the same planner runs the event on the day — briefing the kitchen, the floor and the technicians, and handling the breakdown.
One point of contact, brief to breakdown
§ DELEGATE PACKAGES
Day-delegate, 24-hour residential, board-dinner and wedding packages — bundled so you are not costing the room, the screen and the coffee line by line. Rates are indicative and confirmed on proposal.

§ WHY EMIN PASHA
The reasons a second event is booked before the first one has been broken down.
Venue, catering, rooms, parking and the after-party on a single contract. Nothing is sub-contracted, so nothing falls between two suppliers.
Asian, European and African menus from the hotel's own restaurants — tastings on site, dietary requirements handled, no caterer's mark-up on top.
The person who quotes your event runs it on the day. You are never handed to an 'operations team' after signing.
The Equatorial Gardens — lawned, private, and the best outdoor picture spot in Kampala — ten minutes from the CBD, not an hour down a marram road.
Delegate blocks, a bridal suite and late checkout on the same estate — speakers and the top table are not driving across town at midnight.
Gated parking, a separate event entrance and a green room off the hall — for a minister, a keynote or a nervous bride.
§ REQUEST A PROPOSAL
The more you share, the more useful our first reply is — dates, numbers, the spaces you have in mind. A planner responds personally with availability and an indicative cost. Nothing here is binding.

reservations@eminpasha.com§ GOOD TO KNOW
Provisional holds, deposits, catering, AV, parking and accommodation blocks — the questions the events desk fields most.
They are indicative maximums so you can shortlist rooms. Your real number depends on staging, a dance floor, AV positions and catering style, so the exact figure for your layout is confirmed on the proposal and at the site visit.
Yes — and it is a feature, not a restriction. All food and drink come from the hotel's own restaurants, so there is no external caterer's mark-up, tastings happen on site, and dietary requirements are handled by the kitchen that will cook on the day.
Kudara Hall has an in-house stage set, screens, projection and a sound system, and a technician is on site for the event. Specialist rigs — LED walls, multi-camera, simultaneous interpretation — are brought in through our partners and quoted in the proposal.
A signed contract and a deposit confirm the booking, with the balance due before the event. Bookings over ten rooms follow our group terms — written confirmation within 14 days, rooming lists 7 days out, and a 50% deposit. The exact schedule is on your contract.
Yes. We hold a room block against your event — delegate rates for a conference, a guest block and bridal suite for a wedding — on the same estate, so nobody is travelling across Kampala late at night. Unused rooms are released back on an agreed date.
§ THE LAST STEP
Send the brief and a planner comes back the same working day with what is available and what it costs. Prefer to talk it through first? All three lines reach a person.
